Accepting the project "Application and development of technology to produce unburnt bricks from sand, sandstone and available materials in Can Tho city"
On June 17, 2021, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established an Acceptance Council of the project "Application and development of technology to produce unburnt bricks from sand, sandstone and available materials in Can Tho city.” The study is carried out by engineer Nguyen Ngoc Tam Chau. Ngan Phuc General Service Trading Limited Company is a presiding implementation.

Overview of the Acceptance Council

The goal of the project is to successfully apply new technology in the production of unburnt bricks, helping to reduce environmental pollution and save fuel; build a model of commodity production to serve socio-economic development and promote economic development of Can Tho city.

Research team

With the support and professional guidance of the management units, Ngan Phuc General Trading Service Limited Company organized and successfully completed the proposed contents, received 3 technological processes to ensure novelty, easy suitability to apply in Phong Dien district, Can Tho city, the model of producing unburnt bricks from sand, sandstone and available materials after installation and adjustment has been well operated and produced. Brick products have standard qualit. The finished bricks are guaranteed in terms of size and aesthetics. Specifically, after the implementation of the project, the following important results have been obtained:

- Completing and stably applying in the suitable and effective production mixes with the condition of locality and available raw materials, ensuring reasonable production costs.

- Invest in and install a complete system of technological equipment and lines and put it into stable operation.

- Training and transferring production technology processes to staffs and workers to master the processes and operate equipment well.

- Producing experiment: 2,000,000 bricks, taking samples for testing to meet TCVN 6477:2016.

- Successfully built an unburnt brick production model with a capacity of 22 million bricks/year, the resulting product meets TCVN 6477:2016.

Acceptance Council

Developing production and using unburnt building materials to gradually replace baked clay bricks, will help save agricultural land, contribute to ensuring national food security, and reduce polluting greenhouse gas emissions, polluted environment, reducing waste treatment costs of industries, saving coal fuel, bringing economic efficiency to the whole society. In addition, the project has created jobs for workers with high and stable income; unburnt bricks have the same design and quality as traditional fired bricks, helping to change the habits and prejudices of users; take advantage of suitable and locally available input materials. The project uses clean technology, does not make noise, does not use fossil fuels, does not generate harmful emissions. The device is simple, easy to use, and can be applied in many localities; contribute to the treatment of industrial wastes from many sources. Before the practical benefits brought from the project, the Council evaluated the project met the requirements for acceptance.
