Son La mango announced for trademark protection
Son La Provincial People's Committee has just held a ceremony to announce the trademark protection title "Son La Mango" and export a lot of Son La mangoes to the Australian market. This is an opportunity to help products increase their competitiveness in the market.

The whole province of Son La currently has over 19,000 hectares of mangoes, concentrated in the districts: Yen Chau, Mai Son, Muong La, Song Ma, Thuan Chau; output is estimated at 65,000 tons, harvest time from May to August.

In recent years, Son La province has focused on applying many scientific and technological advances to production, focusing on building mango material areas to meet market and export demand, specifically: hybridization, pruning, creating canopy, wrapping mango fruits, produced according to good agricultural practice standards (VietGAP, GlobalGAP). Focus on building trademarks, certifying the issuance of area codes for mango growing for export, linking production with consumption, applying post-harvest and processing technologies. Currently, the whole province has been granted 71 area codes for exporting mango with an area of nearly 1,600 ha.

The export of the first batch of mangoes in this season to the Australian market affirms that Son La's mango products are reputable and qualified to export to fastidious markets.

At the same time, it helps to improve the reputation and quality of mango products, ensure healthy competition in the market, develop  Son La mango brand, and protect the legitimate interests of producers and consumers.

Along with exporting mangoes to Australia, Son La province also announced a trademark protection title "Son La Mango".

At the Announcement Ceremony, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee handed over the Certificate of Trademark Protection "Son La Mango" from the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology) to the Son La Department of Science and Technology for management.

The Department of Science and Technology has announced the decision to grant the right to use the certification trademark "Son La Mango" for 4 cooperatives: Thien Tan Cooperative, Ngoc Lan Cooperative, Late Ripe Longan Cooperative and Anh Trang Cooperative.

Immediately after the announcement ceremony, 25 tons of green-skinned mangoes of Mai Son district were purchased by Rong Do Trading and Production Limited Company  (Ho Chi Minh City) and Truong Mai Trading and Service Limited Company (Mai Son). purchasing, packing for export to Australia market.
