The target of 100,000 digital technology enterprises by 2025
Developing digital businesses includes digital technology businesses and transforming traditional businesses into digital businesses.

This goal and point of view are given in the Prime Minister's draft Decision approving the National Strategy for Digital Economy and Digital Society Development to 2025, with orientation to 2030, The Prime Minister's orientation towards 2030 is being consulted by the Ministry of Information and Communications.

According to the draft, digital government development, digital economy and digital society have a close relationship with each other. In particular, the digital government leads the country's digital transformation, develops fundamental elements that create the basic foundation, promotes the development of the digital economy and digital society.

Digital economy and digital society are two inseparable aspects of the digital transformation process both at the national and local levels. Developing the digital economy brings business opportunities to people and businesses, promoting the formation of a digital society. In the development of a digital society, people are proficient in digital skills will form a market for consuming digital products and services, thereby nurturing digital technology businesses.

The draft strategy defines a target that by 2025, the proportion of the digital economy will reach 20% of GDP, and the proportion of the digital economy in each industry and field will reach over 10%. With a vision to 2030, Vietnam becomes a digital country with a digital economy accounting for at least 30% of GDP, creating a solid foundation to become a high-income country by 2045, a safe and human digital society, widespread, improving the quality of life, richer, happier people, contributing to solving the millennium problems of sustainable and inclusive development.

In order to create a foundation for the development of the digital economy and digital society, the draft also sets specific goals in developing digital infrastructure, digital data, digital identity, digital payment, digital skills, digital human resources, and business, development of safe and healthy digital environment, and improvement of national rankings

Specifically, by 2025, the goal is to reach 100,000 digital technology enterprises. The rate of small and medium enterprises accessing the digital transformation platform will reach 75%; the rate of enterprises using .vn domain name will reach 75% and the rate of enterprises using e-invoices will reach 100%.

The draft defines the development of digital enterprises including digital technology enterprises and the transformation of traditional enterprises into digital enterprises. Accordingly, it will focus on developing, submitting to the Prime Minister for approval and organizing the implementation of the Strategy for development of Vietnam's digital technology enterprises to 2030.

Develop and promulgate a system of standards and technical regulations on e-invoices in accordance with international practices and standards. Building a national e-invoice platform, connecting and communicating with all tax authorities, allowing payment of electronic invoices, shortening the time to conduct electronic transactions.
