Kon Tum was granted trademark registration certificates for 11 products
Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee has just announced and awarded trademark registration certificates for 11 key and specific products of Kon Tum province, granted by the National Office of Intellectual Property (Ministry of Science and Technology).

In the morning of July 22, in Kon Tum city, the People's Committee of Kon Tum province held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the National Office of Intellectual Property, the Ministry of Science and Technology granting trademark registration certificates for 11 local products.

11 products of Kon Tum province have been granted trademark registration certificates by the National Office of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Science and Technology, including: Ngoc Linh Kon Tum Ginseng, Kon Tum cold coffee and 9 medicinal products: Linh Chi Mushrooms, Ginseng Party, Duong Quy, Lan Kim Tuyen, Y Do, Dingling, Yellow Turmeric, Ngu Vi Tu, Sa Nhan Purple. These are all key and typical products of Kon Tum province.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thap, Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee, said that for protected geographical indications and trademarks to truly become effective tools to promote economic development, protect key rights and interests worthy of owners, consumers, further bringing the product brands of Kon Tum province to domestic and foreign consumers. The Provincial People's Committee has directed branches and localities to review products with advantages and potential for development to advise the Provincial People's Committee to approve and register for protection of geographical indications, certification trademarks, collective trademarks, industrial designs, etc., creating a premise for domestic and foreign brand building and development.

The localities also need to coordinate with relevant units to promote propaganda and promotion of products; join the chain of production links; use and protect geographical indications and certification trademarks after being granted the right to use; promptly detect and report violations of the right to geographical indications and certification trademarks to state management agencies and law enforcement agencies for inspection, investigation, and handling strictly according to regulations of the law….

The Provincial People's Committee has been directing all levels, branches, businesses and people to continue to maintain and expand production scale and improve quality to build and develop key products and specific products of Kon Tum province to rise higher and further in the coming time, contributing to the effective implementation of the Intellectual Property Strategy to 2030 under the Prime Minister's Decision.

As of the end of June this year, Kon Tum province has 111 trademarks that have been granted trademark registration certificates by the National Office of Intellectual Property. In which, there are 2 geographical indications: Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Dak Ha Coffee; 97 conventional trademarks and 14 certification trademarks. For 14 protected certification trademarks, most of them are key products and specific products of the province, such as Ngoc Linh Ginseng, coffee, medicinal herbs and etc.
