On August 23, the Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) put into operation 2 Viettel Innovation Labs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, meeting the research and testing of 4.0 technologies, such as 5G, IoT. , Cloud, Big Data, AI.

According to the Global Mobile Operators Association (GSMA), Viettel Innovation Lab reaches the highest level of an international standard laboratory, including connection infrastructure (radio, core network), equipment (development kit) and application development environment (platform, server). Operating under the model of an open laboratory (Open Lab), Viettel allows good ideas and solutions from technology businesses, scientists or students to use all equipment at free of charge in Viettel Innovation Lab.

Mr. Tao Duc Thang - Deputy General Director of the Group, said: "Viettel Innovation Lab is a place to incubate and nurture ideas about new technologies, connect communities, build a technology application ecosystem. 4.0, promoting digital transformation in Vietnam. This is also a bridge between domestic and foreign technology circles to share knowledge and cooperate in the field of 4.0 technology, thereby forming an excellent technological human resource for the country.

Viettel Innovation Lab is equipped with the most modern connection network infrastructure, including super-high-speed and super-low latency 5G connectivity (mmWave 8CC and sub-6GHz Massive MIMO, using both 5G Standalone and 5G core network architectures NSA Non-Standalone), dedicated NB-IoT and LTE-M connectivity for IoT devices (wide coverage, high reliability, up to 10 years battery life).
