That was the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam at a meeting in the afternoon of September 10 with leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Transport, some information technology enterprises about applying information technology to serve the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic in the coming time.

Recently, solutions and application of information technology in service of epidemic prevention and control play a very important role in the implementation of electronic medical declaration; tracing and detecting people in close contact with people infected with COVID-19; managing quarantined people, monitoring isolation areas; assessment of epidemic risk in localities; Management of vaccinations, test results and etc.

Ministries, sectors and enterprises have developed many solutions and applications of information technology for epidemic prevention and control, but lack of connection and sharing. Many tools, when deployed in practice, have not been convenient for people to use. In fact, many people are confused when they have to use many different epidemic prevention and control technology applications.

Therefore, the requirement is that as soon as possible, there must be a single application for epidemic prevention and control, convenient for people to use, meeting the requirements of information and data for epidemic prevention and control.
