In order to encourage and guide agencies and units in Hai Phong city to actively implement scientific and technological research tasks to serve the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic, in the morning of September 17, 2021, the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong city held a conference to launch the proposal of science and technology tasks for the prevention of Covid-19.

Director of Department of Science and Technology Dr. Tran Quang Tuan chaired the conference. Attending the conference, there were representatives of research institutes, universities, People's Committees of districts, S&T organizations and enterprises in the city.
The Department of Science and Technology is currently receiving proposals for city-level S&T tasks in 2021 (phase 2) focusing on 5 areas: social sciences and humanities; Industry, Traffic, Urban; Rational use of resources and the environment; Agriculture, forestry, fisheries; Care, protection and improvement of people's health, with various types of research, such as topics; science project project. In the situation of complicated and unpredictable Covid-19 situation, scientific and technological research tasks to effectively serve epidemic prevention and control will be encouraged and prioritized for consideration.
Speaking at the conference, Dr. Tran Quang Tuan - Director of the Department of Science and Technology called on each individual, collective, and scientist inside and outside the city with knowledge, enthusiasm and responsibility to pay attention to propose many practical, feasible and effective tasks. Contributing to the whole country's victory over the Covid-19 pandemic, the Department of Science and Technology will create the most favorable conditions during the review, appraisal and approval process so that these tasks can soon be deployed and put into application in life.
From September 1, 2021, the Center for Scientific and Technological Development and Innovation has produced thousands of bottles of Anolyte hand sanitizer spray and cans of Anolyte solution to disinfect and disinfect to send to agencies and bodies, hospitals, businesses, and schools in the city contribute to disease prevention. At this conference, the Department of Science and Technology continued to donate antiseptic solutions to prevent and control Covid-19 to participating organizations and units.
At the conference, many organizations and businesses actively responded and supported the cost of producing antiseptic solutions for people in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces to fight the epidemic. Typical are Vicem Hai Phong Cement Company, Lien Minh Maritime Joint Stock Company, Bao Minh Seafood Limited Company, Phuong Nghia Limited Company and etc.
