Meeting Council for acceptance of State-level Science and Technology project "Application and development of technology to produce unburnt bricks from sands, sandstones and available materials in Can Tho City"
In the afternoon of September 24, 2021, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held an online meeting of the Council for acceptance of the State-level Science and Technology project "Application and development of technology to produce unburnt bricks from sands and crushed stones and available materials in Can Tho City". The project belongs to the program "Support for application and transfer of scientific and technological advances to promote socio-economic development in rural, mountainous and ethnic minority areas for the period of 2016-2025". Ngan Phuc General Service Trading Limited Company is a presiding unit. Gia Hung Equipment Limited Company is a technology application support agency. The implementation period is from 12/2018 to 5/2021.
Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology attended the online meeting of the Council for acceptance of state-level science and technology projects.
The project is aimed at successfully applying new technologies in the production of unburnt bricks, helping to reduce environmental pollution and save fuel; building a model of commodity production for socio-economic development and promoting the economic development of Can Tho city.
During the implementation process, the project has carried out the following contents: Support to transfer and receive the technology of producing unburnt bricks and locally available materials (sand, crushed stones, available materials, etc.); Supporting the application, transfer and reception of key technologies; Building a model of aggregate cement-burnt brick production from locally available materials.
Through the implementation process, the project has ensured enough content according to the explanation and objectives. For technology transfer, Ngan Phuc General Trading Service Limited Company has received the transfer from Gia Hung Equipment Limited Company and mastered 03 technological processes including: (1) Process of building, mixing and matching materials suitable for local materials; (2) Procedures for operation and maintenance of equipment lines; (3) Process of production, maintenance and packaging of finished products after pressing.
For building brick production model: Ngan Phuc General Trading Service Limited Company has actively built a model of producing high quality aggregate unburnt bricks from locally available materials (sand, crushed stones, available materials) at My Ai hamlet, My Khanh commune, Phong Dien district, Can Tho city. The Company coordinated with the technology application support organization and the equipment installation unit to successfully operate the unburnt brick production line with a capacity of 22 million bricks/year, meet the standards of TCVN 6477:2016. It produced 2 million bricks, tested the quality to meet the standard TCVN 6477:2016; products put into application in the construction of works in the area to ensure suitability and quality.
In addition, the project created jobs for local workers, promoted the conversion from terracotta bricks to unburnt bricks, saved energy for brick production, did not pollute the environment, used less land area, did not lose agricultural land. Moreover, it promoted the development of the material industry in the city, reduced dependence on burnt materials.
The Council has agreed to approve the project, but the unit in charge of implementation needs to edit and add some contents according to the comments of the council members.
