Launch Invention Village and Innovation Enterprise
On September 25, the Vietnam Invention Association and the Organization Board of TECHFEST 2001, launched the Village of Inventions and Innovation Enterprises (referred to as Invention Village for short), within the framework of the National Innovation Startup Festival TECHFEST Vietnam 2021.

This is one of the new technology villages in this year's TECHFEST.

Mr. Tran Giang Khue, Permanent Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Invention Association, Head of the Invention Village, said that, with the motto "Innovation, creating wings for the future", the village was established to form and develop intellectual property (IP) culture, associating IP rights with activities of innovation, research and development, production and business; at the same time connecting the network of research, development, application, transfer and commercialization of S&T products and inventions, among inventors, research organizations and enterprises.

Immediately after its establishment, the Invention Village will organize a number of activities, such as Honoring “IPstar Invention Star”; Organize the contest "Solutions for commercialization of inventions"; Organizing seminars on "Challenges in commercialization of inventions and intellectual property", "Start-up innovation based on inventions, technologies and intellectual property"; Organize training, training on IP, trademark, exploitation of invention, technologies, start-up based on invention, technologies and intellectual property; Displaying and exhibiting technologies, inventions, contest results, honoring inventors; and etc.

In the opening speech at the event, Mr. Bui Van Quyen, General Secretary of the Vietnam Invention Association shared that through activities, the Invention Village will convey information, knowledge and practical experiences of the inventors, experts in the field of innovation and IP to the business community and society. “Thereby, creating a premise for this activity to be more and more innovative and developed, so that inventors can contribute their best in the recovery and development of production, business, and social life after the COVID-19 pandemic. -19", Mr. Quyen said.

Speaking to welcome the launching ceremony of Invention Village, Mr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Market Development and S&T Enterprises, Ministry of Science and Technology highly appreciated the establishment of the Invention Village, because this is the first time inventors come to young people, startups to spread fire and experiences.

According to Mr. Quat, currently, Vietnam has strongly done research and granted patents, but how these inventions spread in the community and become commercialized products and services needs to be more integrated. "The TECHFEST environment will help inventors connect to invest and develop the market, besides inspiring the young generation," said Mr. Quat, who first joined TECHFEST and was just established but the Invention Village has called for many experienced, enthusiastic and intellectual people. Along with its activities, Invention Village will inspire, create prestige and make a great impact on the community at TECHFEST 2021.
