Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho: Implement the project to strengthen the organizational structure of specialized agencies at the city and district levels
In order to implement the Project on strengthening the organizational structure of specialized agencies at the city and district levels according to Decision No. 1344 dated June 24, 2021 of the City People's Committee. On October 5, 2021, Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology held a meeting of key officials of the Department to implement Decision No. 2097/QD-UBND dated September 16, 2021 on the reorganization of the the division of specialization and dissolution of the organization under the Department of Science and Technology. Key officials attending the meeting included: Department's Board of Directors, heads and deputy heads of units, President of Trade Union, Secretary of Youth Union.
At the meeting, Mr. Ngo Anh Tin, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Science and Technology implemented Decision No. 2097/QD-UBND dated September 16, 2021 on the reorganization of specialized divisions and solutions can be organized under the Department under the Department of Science and Technology.
According to the Decision, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology will reorganize the specialized departments and dissolve the organizations under the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Department of Science and Technology as follows:
- Reorganized the Technology and Specialization Management Division to establish 02 divisions including Technology Development and Innovation Division and Specialized Management Division;
- Dissolution of organizations under the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Administrative - General Department, Quality Standards Management Division and Metrology Management Division).
Also at the meeting, the Department of Science and Technology carried out the process of obtaining votes of confidence in personnel to appoint leaders of departments and branches by secret ballot method. The vote of confidence is carried out in a strict, democratic, open and transparent manner, serving as a basis for appointing managers who can meet immediate and long-term requirements and tasks, contribute to the overall development of the sector.
