Launching the Social Innovation Festival and launching the Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam Model
In the morning of October 1, 2021, the launching ceremony of Techfest 2021 and the launch of the Shinhan Square Bridge Vietnam model took place under the co-chair of the National Economics University, the Institute of Sustainable Development Management Research (MSD) - United Way Vietnam, United Way Worldwide, Global Women Leaders Network, College of Economics & Business Administration - Thai Nguyen University and Agricultural Ecosystem sustainable Mevi. This is an activity within the framework of Techfest Vietnam 2021, which was officially launched with the topic "Innovation - Future inititial."

Attending the ceremony, there were Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung, Mr. Pham Hong Quat - Director of the Department of Market Development and S&T Enterprises, Mr. Pham Dung Nam - Director of Project 844 Office, Mr. Lee Taekyung- General Director of Shinhan Bank Vietnam, Mr. Cho Mun Sung- Deputy General Director of Shinhan Bank in Vietnam, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Hong Chuong- Rector of National Economics University, Assoc. Bui Huy Nhuong - Vice President of National Economics University, Ms. Hooyung Young - Vice President of United Way Worldwide in Southeast Asia, Korea and Japan with representatives of the Village Head, Co-Head of the Village, the Accompanying organizations and more than 200 online participants at the bridge points are representatives of state management agencies, institutes, schools, experts, investment funds and start-ups.

Speaking at the opening and welcoming the event, Deputy Minister Tran Van Tung highly appreciated the creative solutions and ideas to solve the challenges and problems posed for the development of the economy and society in the context of economic and social development of the Covid-19 pandemic. The Deputy Minister said that there will be many new challenges and new social problems that need to be solved with innovative and creative solutions and require the cooperation of all subjects in the startup ecosystem: from policy makers to investment funds, start-up support organizations and start-ups, individuals with startup spirit.

The Deputy Minister also applauded Shinhan Bank for spending resources to promote social innovation in Vietnam over the past time through the initiative to create an interdisciplinary and cross-border synergistic impact towards building an inclusive community, ensuring opportunities for everyone, leaving no one behind through the Shinhan Square Bridge model.

With the slogan "Unity Cooperation - Creating Trends - Leading Change for a Sustainable Vietnam", the Social Innovation and Challenge Village will organize a series of activities within the framework of the National Techfest 2021, including: incubation and acceleration program for start-up groups with the Social Innovation Startup Competition “Future Solutions”, policy seminars, conferences for start-up support organizations, exhibitions product, market connection, social investment connection forum, Startup Forum led by Women – Youth.

With financial and technical support from Shinhan Square Bridge and Project 844 on Supporting the National Innovation Startup Ecosystem until 2025, the Social Innovation and Challenge Village within the framework of the National Techfest 2021. It is expected to create an attractive and useful effective playground  in attracting and developing socially innovative startup projects as well as attracting investment resources for social creativity.
