Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology is ready to transfer 'vaccine technology'
Responding to the call of the Prime Minister, the political system and social resources unite to join hands with Ho Chi Minh City to fight the epidemic, with professional capacity and technological resources, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology has quickly implemented the program "Finding and connecting innovative solutions to cope with the Covid-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City in 2021" (HCMC Innovative Solution - Covid 2021 - referred to as HIS for short) -Covid 2021).

After more than a month of rushing to implement activities, receive solutions, screen documents, set up a panel of experts to appraise, question, critique and comment on each project, the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City has selected 10 out of 99 projects participating in the program.

This group of 10 projects has fields of information technology, health, biology, agriculture, materials and etc. so it can be applied to many fields in life, overall management, service, production, business from state management agencies to enterprises and individual citizens.

According to the organization Board, the projects in the group 10 mentioned above are in the product finishing stage; in which there are a number of solutions that have been implemented and promoted effectively in practice, piloting anti-epidemic in some localities and ready to transfer technology and innovative solutions to the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, departments and agencies, branches, districts and business associations of Ho Chi Minh City in the prevention of epidemics.

The Department of Science and Technology considers this "Top 10" solution to be 10 doses of "technology vaccine" ready to stand side by side on the front lines against the epidemic with Ho Chi Minh City as well as other provinces across the country.

In particular, CyHome's solution helps F0 and F1 management agencies isolate at home, bringing convenience to users when easily entering vital data, helping units analyze and arrange samples collection schedules faster.

Covidmaps has been deployed in Da Nang and a number of other provinces and cities, helping people to quickly access information about the epidemic situation and integrate many types of maps: vaccination map, green channel map, local map, SOS map, essential shopping location map and etc.

According to information from the organization Board, the Top 10 will receive support and deep connection from the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City with departments and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City, districts and business associations to support wider deployment solutions to epidemic prevention and control with the motto "taking technology as a fortress", with the close coordination of two strategic spearheads: city-wide vaccine coverage and strict implementation of 5K.

The HIS-Covid 2021 program is approved by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City. Initiated and organized by Ho Chi Minh City, the unit that coordinates the implementation is the Youth Start-up Support Center (BSSC). HIS-COVID 2021 also receives the coordination and participation of the Innovation Startup Ecosystem of Ho Chi Minh City, such as the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Advanced Application of Science and Technology; Technology Business Incubation Center (Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology); High-tech business incubator; Zone Startups Vietnam; High-tech agricultural business incubation center; The Center for Startup and Innovation, Ho Chi Minh National University – IEC.
