Building a more and more complete national startup ecosystem
To become a start-up country, the first thing to do is to build and issue mechanisms and policies that are strong enough to create a more and more complete national startup ecosystem.

Speaking at the online seminar with the topic "Building a model to support startup in higher education institutions" that has just taken place, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ngo Thi Minh said, in research reports on the building and forming a national startup ecosystem, the role of universities is very important.

Up to now, 50% of schools have established start-up clubs in priority fields, based on the strengths of training institutions; 70 training institutions arrange common spaces to support start-ups for students; About 45 training institutions have set up support centers for students to start a business. The National Startup Day for students and the contest "Pupils and students with start-up ideas" have been organized annually by the Ministry of Education and Training, attracting more and more pupils, as well as other students, educational institutions and businesses. The number of student start-up projects is increasing year by year and the content of science and technology in the projects is increasing.

Deputy Minister of Education and Training Ngo Thi Minh affirmed that promoting innovation and startup is being considered as one of the tasks to promote economic development, soon turning Vietnam into an influential start-up country In the world.

The Deputy Minister said that in order to become a start-up country, the first thing to do is to build and issue mechanisms and policies strong enough to create a more and more complete national startup ecosystem. There, start-ups will be incubated, supported and quickly acquired fast and sustainable growth models. In research reports on building and forming a national startup ecosystem, the role of universities is very important.

Deputy Minister Ngo Thi Minh wants universities and higher education institutions to clearly see their responsibilities in promoting the startup model of lecturers and students. Universities and higher education institutions need to consider this an important task, not just a movement.

The university must be a place to provide information, create an environment, organize inspirational activities to promote the startup spirit of students, form a culture of startup and nurture and support the development of students, the talents of pupils and students.

The Deputy Minister also hoped that higher education institutions would gradually form the core content, the initial basic elements to have effective start-up models.
