Acceptance of the S&T task "Manufacturing Covid-19 testing chambers for epidemic prevention and control"
On November 2, 2021, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established the Council for Acceptance of S&T tasks "Manufacturing Covid-19 testing chambers for epidemic prevention and control." The study was carried by engineer Huynh Minh Tuan. Center for Application of Science and Technology Advancement is the presiding agency for implementation.

The objective of the project is to produce a SARS-COV-2 screening chamber that meets ISO6 cleanroom standards; medical staff evaluation test, direct use; adjusted and produced 10 chambers for the sampling work of Can Tho city.

Based on the design of Lao Cai College, the project management team coordinated with the university's research team and made improvements compared to the original design:

- On the roof: The air supplied to the chamber is treated with activated carbon film and then through the cold air conditioning system. Next, the air flow passes through the negative UV+ION system and then passes through the Hepa filter to ensure clean air is supplied to the sampling chamber. Finally, the air flow will be through the exhaust fan + UV lamp system before returning to the outside environment.

- The space inside the chamber: equipped with a negative UV+ION light system to disinfect and clean the air.

Active sensor system sprays disinfectant solution in the form of mist outside, helping to remove bacteria on the surface of the material, minimizing cross-infection.

- Electrical safety system: Externally redesigned electrical cabinet, 1-way electric disinfection spray system makes the electrical system safer.

The Acceptance Council assessed that the project met the criteria of electrical safety, biological and microbiological safety, the price is cheaper than the existing equipment in the market, has high practical significance. The project was approved by the Council.
