On October 25, 2021, implementing inspection Decision No. 213/QD-SKHCN dated October 22, 2021 and Inspection Decision No. 214/QD-SKHCN dated October 25, 2021 of the Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology on the unexpected specialized inspection in the fields of standards, measurement and quality, the Inspector of the Department of Science and Technology has coordinated with relevant agencies to set up an inspection team at 02 Organizations and individuals trading petroleum in Can Tho city is Ngoc Phat Petroleum Limited Company, located in Thoi Thanh hamlet, Truong Xuan commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city and Petroleum Store No. 30 in Can Tho – Branch of KK OIL Petroleum Joint Stock Company, Phu Luong area, Long Hung ward, O Mon district, Can Tho city.

From the sample test results, the Inspection Team sealed 02 tanks of poor quality gasoline, invited business representatives to work, the results determined that the above 02 enterprises had committed administrative violations in goods (unleaded gasoline RON 95). Its quality criteria do not conform to the corresponding technical regulations. The Chief Inspector of the Department issued a decision to sanction the branch of KK OIL Joint Stock Company - No. 30 petrol station in Can Tho with an amount of VND 63,578,600, additional sanction: deprivation of the right to use the certificate of eligibility a case of petrol and oil trading for 1 month, applying remedial measures: forcibly recovering and recycling the quantity of unsold poor quality gasoline. For Ngoc Phat Petroleum Limited Company, a fine of VND 60,533,040, additional sanction: deprivation of the right to use the certificate of eligibility for petrol and oil trading for 1 month, applying remedial measures Consequences recovery: forcibly recovering and recycling the quantity of poor quality gasoline that has not yet been consumed.
Department inspectors will continue to monitor the recovery and recycling of poor quality gasoline according to regulations.
