Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology - Can Tho City Police: Signing a coordination program on science and technology activities for the period of 2021 – 2025
In the morning of March 3, 2022, at the Can Tho City Police Hall, the signing ceremony of the coordination program on scientific and technological activities between the City Police and Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology took place, for the period of 2021 - 2025.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony

Attending the Signing Ceremony, there were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City; Mr. Ngo Anh Tin, Member of City Party Committee, Director of Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Nguyen Van Thuan - Member of Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Director of Can Tho City Public Security and leaders of departments, units under 02 units and media agencies attended and reported.

In order to strengthen the relationship between the two agencies in scientific research, development and application of science and technology (S&T) to serve the tasks of socio-economic development and national security protection, to ensure social order and safety in the area of ​​Can Tho city, the Department of Science and Technology and the city's Public Security have agreed on a program to coordinate S&T activities for the period of 2021-2025 with 5 specific contents, such as: (1) Coordinating proposals to develop, amend and supplement mechanisms, policies and laws on science and technology work; (2) Cooperation in S&T research activities; (3) Promote coordination activities to improve the efficiency of cooperation and technology transfer activities; standards, measure, quality; specialized inspection and examination; (4) Coordinate in activities to ensure security and order; (5) and coordinate to improve the capacity of management staffs and scientific researchers.

Overview of the Signing Ceremony

On behalf of the city's leaders, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc He, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee gave a speech directing 4 key contents: The Department of Science and Technology and the City Public Security need to well implement the signed S&T cooperation program between two units; The two units need to take full advantage of the resources of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Public Security to invest in science and technology as well as invest in science and technology for the public security sector; The two units regularly and periodically exchange, discuss, and review the Program to jointly remove difficulties and problems as well as draw lessons from experiences to well implement the proposed Joint Program; The two units need to take advantage of the direction of the two ministries and the city leaders to recommend and invest in S&T, defense and security in order to well implement the Ministry's Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW dated August 5, 2020 on construction and development of Can Tho city to 2030, vision to 2045 and Resolution No. 45/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly: On piloting a number of development-specific mechanisms and policies to build Can Tho City into the development center of the Mekong Delta.
