National Conference of Directors of Department of Science and Technology in 2022
In the afternoon of March 17, 2022, in Bac Giang city, the Ministry of Science and Technology cooperated with the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to organize a Conference of Directors of the Department of Science and Technology nationwide.

The conference aims to implement key tasks in 2022, work orientations in 2023 and the following years.
Attending the Conference, there were Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Science and Technology; Deputy Ministers of Science and Technology: Tran Van Tung, Bui The Duy, Pham Cong Tac; Mr. Le Anh Duong, Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee; Directors, Deputy Directors of 63 Departments of Science and Technology of provinces and cities; representatives of leaders of units under the Ministry of Science and Technology, managers working in localities of the Departments of Science and Technology.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung emphasized that the National Conference of Directors of the Department of Science and Technology is an opportunity for the whole industry to strengthen connectivity, cooperation, sharing experiences, coordinating activities among units in the Ministry, Departments of Science and Technology, among localities to work towards the common goal of implementing tasks with high results, and contributing science and technology further for the country's socio-economic development goals.

Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology
At the conference, delegates will hear many ideas, such as Implement Resolution No. 01 and No. 02/NQ-CP of the Government, in order to offer specific solutions on science and technology to promote economic recovery and development society; local science and technology issues; guiding the formulation of the S&T and Innovation Plan in 2023; develop a set of local innovation indexes; Strategy on Intellectual Property to 2030. Thence, focus on exchanging and discussing to remove difficulties and obstacles and propose solutions to develop science and technology for the next period.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Minister of Science and Technology spoke at the Conference
Speaking at the conclusion of the conference, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat suggested: “In 2022, the whole industry needs to focus on well doing organizing and summarizing a number of laws related to the entire S&T industry; Proposing recommendations for inclusion in the amended and supplemented law; localities should quickly deploy and disseminate national science and technology programs for the next 5 years; prepare conditions for implementing the biotechnology project in the coming period after it is approved by the Politburo; promote digital transformation in S&T activities.
