October 10 every year is National Digital Transformation Day

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has just signed Decision No.505/QD-TTg taking October 10 every year as the National Digital Transformation Day.

National Digital Transformation Day is held annually in order to accelerate the implementation of national digital transformation tasks, effectively implement the National Digital Transformation Program to 2025, with orientation to 2030.

Besides, raising awareness of the whole society about the role, meaning and benefits of digital transformation; promoting the participation of the whole political system, synchronous action at all levels and the participation of the whole people to ensure the success of digital transformation.

The Ministry of Information and Communications assumes the prime responsibility for, and coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Science and Technology with, relevant ministries and branches, and the People's Committees of the provinces and centrally-run cities to build develop a specific implementation plan; guide and direct the implementation of annual National Digital Transformation Day communication activities to ensure practicality, efficiency and savings.

Ministries, ministerial-level agencies, Governmental agencies, People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, based on plans and instructions of the Ministry of Information and Communications and actual conditions of each ministry, branches and localities to organize the implementation of activities appropriate to the annual National Digital Transformation Day communication at ministries, branches and localities.

The Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry, associations and associations in the field of information and communication direct affiliated member organizations to participate in and organize annual National Digital Transformation Day communication activities.

The Vietnam Television Station, the Voice of Vietnam Radio, and the Vietnam News Agency develop a communication plan on digital transformation channels and the National Digital Transformation Day. Central and local news agencies and press agencies carry out the propaganda and promotion of the National Digital Transformation Day; develop programs to introduce and commend typical agencies, organizations and enterprises that have taken the lead in applying new technologies and models; organizing foreign communication, promoting the National Digital Transformation Day abroad.
