Vinh Long: Detecting over 2,000 smuggled products in violation of business labels via social networks
The Market Management Team No. 4 of Vinh Long Department of Market Management has just inspected and detected 2,070 units of smuggled products and goods of unknown origin and violations of business labels via the social network Facebook.

Market Managers of Vinh Long province seized the number of smuggled products.

The inspection team of Market Management Team No. 4 (Standing of the E-Commerce Team of the Market Management Department of Vinh Long Province) conducted an unscheduled inspection of the point of sale through the social network of Mrs. Nguyen Lam Thi Ngoc Hien at No. 168A, Tan Vinh Hamlet, Truong An Ward, Vinh Long City, Vinh Long Province. Test results found at business locations using Facebook account Hien Nguyen to sell cosmetics, quick test for Covid-19 of all kinds.

Through goods inspection, it was discovered that 2,070 product units are cosmetics, quick test for Covid-19 of all kinds, such as Danxuaenilan skin whitening moisturizer, Dr. Pepti makeup remover, Royal, Jiuhe, YiYiMei skin whitening serum, Biotin & Collagen shampoo, conditioner, Besthree Covid-19 rapid test kit, Antigen Rapid, Newgene, and etc.

The above goods are manufactured by foreign countries with original labels in foreign languages but no sub-labels in Vietnamese. Some products do not clearly show their origin. The total value of infringing goods is 62,584. 000 VND.

At the time of inspection, Mrs. Nguyen Lam Thi Ngoc Hien could not produce invoices and documents proving the legality of the goods. The inspection team temporarily seized all of the above-mentioned goods for verification, clarification and handling in accordance with law.

Market Management Team No. 4 (Standing of the E-commerce Group of the Market Management Department of Vinh Long Province) said that in the coming time, it will continue to strengthen the supervision of the area, monitoring organizations and individuals taking advantage of sales via social networks to trade in smuggled goods, counterfeit goods, goods of unknown origin, infringing goods on intellectual property, food hygiene and safety. When detecting signs of violations, they will be examined and handled in accordance with the law.
