Accelerate the implementation of the interlaboratory comparison program on metrology
Interlaboratory comparison is an indispensable activity in maintaining the management system according to ISO/IEC 17025 and state management of metrology. Interlaboratory comparison and proficiency testing is very important work in measurement and testing activities, it takes place at different levels serving each specific purpose.

The interlaboratory comparison program on metrology is within the framework of the Project "Strengthening and renovating metrology activities to support Vietnamese enterprises in improving their competitiveness and international integration in the period up to 2025," orientation towards 2030.”

According to the plan, from April 2022, the Vietnam Metrology Institute will begin to deploy, the Center for Technical Standards, Metrology and Quality 1, the Metrology Center under the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality under the Ministry of National Defense has handed over, received and conduct calibration for comparison standards in the fields of electricity, electricity capacity.

On May 27, 2022, the Technical Center for Technical Standards, Metrology and Quality 2 received the standard sample of the electric meter and before that the metal standard tank. According to the plan in June, the comparison standards will continue to be calibrated, then this standard will be transferred to the Technical Center for Technical Standards, Metrology and Quality for comparison. The program is expected to end in August 2022.

The Directorate of Standards, Metrology, and Quality is implementing an inter-laboratory comparison program with the participation of Technical Centers 1, 2, 3 and Metrology Center under the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality- Ministry of National Defense. The purpose of the interlaboratory comparison program is to evaluate the level, measurement and calibration capabilities of laboratories and to serve the needs of state management on metrology in the fields of electricity, pressure, and capacity.

The program, which begins implementation in 2022, is considered to be the highlight of improving the capacity of measurement and calibration capabilities of technical units under the Directorate of Quality and Standardization and the Metrology Center under the Department of Standards, Metrology and Quality- Ministry of National Defense with the support of the Ministry of National Defense, led by the Vietnam Metrology Institute (Pilot).
