Propagating and disseminating knowledge of intellectual property and brand development
In the morning of June 15, 2022, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established a scientists team to evaluate the content and funding for the implementation of the project "Propaganda and dissemination of knowledge of intellectual property and brand development.” under the Program to develop intellectual property of Can Tho city until 2030. The appraisal team is led by Mr. Ngo Anh Tin – Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho city. The study is carried out by Mrs. Nguyen Thuy Hang. Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center is a presiding agency. The project implementation period is 24 months.
Overview of the meeting
The project is aimed at broadcasting 09 programs on Intellectual Property and brand development to propagate and disseminate in-depth knowledge of intellectual property (IP), creating a bridge between businesses and entrepreneurs, organizations and individuals with rights-setting agencies and enforcement agencies in advising and answering difficulties and problems arising from the practical application and enforcement of IP laws; Building a product information channel registered for intellectual property protection of the city in order to facilitate access to and use of IP information and trademarks conveniently and effectively, serving research and development, production and business for organizations, individuals and businesses; Organizing training courses and events on intellectual property, contributing to raising understanding and awareness to promote protection registration, intellectual property protection and brand development for organizations, individuals and businesses.
Appraisal team's members
Main content of the project: Broadcasting programs on intellectual property and brand development on Can Tho City Radio and Television Station. Communicating on media by internet through electronic information sites, social networking channels (facebook, youtube and etc.); Organize training courses on intellectual property with the expected number of 60 students/class by face-to-face and online organization. Issuing the "Handbook of some things to know about industrial property", with 03 main contents on the Guidelines for registration of trademark protection; Guidelines for registration of patent protection / utility solutions; Guidelines for registration of industrial design protection.
The research team
The research has practical significance, contributing to the interest of organizations, individuals and businesses on intellectual property and brand development; Raise legal awareness on intellectual property and brand development in organizations, individuals and businesses; Support organizations, individuals and businesses to register for protection of intellectual property rights in the coming time; Effective exploitation of other intellectual property.
The appraisal team approved the content and level of funding for the performance of the project in accordance with the State's regulations. However, the research team need to adjust some contents according to the comments of the members of the appraisal team.
