Currently, the city has typical 4.0 agricultural application models, such as the hydroponic vegetable growing model according to Israeli technologies, the application model of drip irrigation technology and the application of cloud computing, the irrigation and automatic pesticides spray control model on rice and orchards, sensor models to control the environment of livestock barns, environmental sensor models for aquaculture and etc. That shows, farmers and businesses have paid attention to and accepted 4.0 technology in agricultural production.

However, at present, the application of digital technology in agricultural production in Can Tho city is a relatively new problem compared to people's knowledge, awareness and production level; Farming and production practices of farmers and businesses, so the application has not been extensive and spontaneous, the application scale is still small, not concentrated, and has not kept up with the orientation. Many identified goals and orientations are still ideas, which have not been put into life and production. It can be said that the application of digital technology in agriculture is still a new field, which can be implemented in all stages of the process from state management, production organization, production techniques, product consumption, market and etc.

With the current development of information technology and social networks, people, businesses, and managers in the agricultural sector are very interested in applying digital technology to the agricultural sector, creating opportunities for all subjects interested in digital technology in agriculture promote development, solve problems of all stages in the process of agricultural production and business.

To promote digital transformation in agriculture, a number of solutions need to be considered, such as needing the cooperation of departments, sectors and localities as well as businesses, scientists and farmers. Therefore, it is necessary to promote propaganda on digital transformation. Training human resources to meet the needs of digital transformation from application users (farmers), instructors (base argument transfer support groups), related civil servants and public employees. Invest resources to build appropriate applications and transfer technologies associated with building sustainable agricultural product value chains. Technology enterprises need to pay attention, learn and associate with agricultural enterprises to mobilize more resources to build digital technology projects to meet the needs and interests of the parties.

Sharing experiences and strengthening international cooperation, organizing, participating in cooperative activities, learning and sharing experiences on building agricultural digital transformation, developing smart agriculture. Promote and create markets for information technology products and services and digital transformation services in agriculture.
