The Advisory Council determines the city-level S&T tasks to be implemented in 2023 - Cultivation field
In the afternoon of June 29, 2022, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology established an Advisory Council to determine the city-level science and technology tasks to be implemented in 2023 - in the field of cultivation.

City-level science and technology tasks in the field of cultivation in 2023 include: (1) assessing the ability to treat soil toxins and post-harvest applications of some native plants; (2) collection, conservation and development of microbial genetic resources in wild rice and seasonal rice in Can Tho city; (3) application of biotechnology to select high-quality and high-yielding specialty aromatic rice varieties (Can Tho Do) for the rice production area of ​​Can Tho city; (4) research and development of SNP on wild rice genes for Can Tho; (5) research and breeding of pure quality and nutritious rice varieties serving functional foods for Can Tho city; (6) research on conservation, exploitation and development of fruit trees in Can Tho city; (7) study and build a model of sustainable start apple cultivation in Can Tho city; (8) research on synthesizing green nano to preserve Hoa Loc sand mango and green skin pomelo; (9) develop applications on smart devices to diagnose nutritional status for green skin pomelo trees effectively; (10) building a model of production, processing associated with consumption with high economic efficiency for mango trees in Hau river, Can Tho; (11) restoration and conservation of peanut varieties for Can Tho city; (12) testing the adaptability and perfecting the cultivation process of new promising peanut varieties for Can Tho city; (13) Restore high-quality indigenous leafy vegetables to serve the safe vegetable area of Can Tho city and build a brand.

Attending the Council, there were members of the scientific council who are representatives of leaders of the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and other agencies and institutes in the city. The council is responsible for consulting to determine the list of S&T tasks in the field of cultivation to be implemented in 2023 accurately and honestly in accordance with regulations.

The Council has identified the tasks as project, the urgency and goal orientation of each task, the requirements for the task results, the unit receiving the transfer, the address of the application of the tasks; at the same time, edit and supplement some contents to ensure the criteria when implementing.
