Meeting with scientific councils for basic research and conducting evaluation and selection of basic research projects in the field of Science, Technology and Humanities in 2022
On August 12, in Hanoi, the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (Science and Technology) held a meeting with members of the Scientific Council for basic research in the field of social sciences and humanities for the term of 2019– 2021 and 2022 – 2024 and the meeting to evaluate and select basic research projects in the field of social sciences and humanities in 2022.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang, Chairman of the Fund Management Council spoke at the Conference.

Attending the conference, on the side of scientists, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Doan Minh Huan, Member of the Party Central Committee, term XIII, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Journal, member of the Scientific Council majoring in Philosophy, Religion, sociology, politics for the term of 2019 - 2021; scientists are members of the scientific councils in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities for the term of 2019 - 2021 and the term of 2022 - 2024.

On the side of the National Fund for Science and Technology Development, there were Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology, Chairman of the Fund Management Council; members of the Management Board, leaders of the Fund's executive agency attended the Conference.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen - Director of the Fund's executive agency presented a report on the operation process of the Scientific Council for the term of 2019 - 2021. Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen said: on May 27, 2019, the Chairman The Fund Management Council signed the Decision No. 86/QD-HDQL-NAFOSTED on the establishment of 7 scientific activities in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities. The members of the Scientific Council are highly qualified scientists who are trusted by the scientific community.

During the operational term (2019 - 2021), the Scientific Councils have evaluated and selected more than 300 grant applications under the basic research program and the National S&T capacity improvement support program, periodic assessment and acceptance of projects funded by the Fund.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Dinh Nguyen - Director of the Fund's executive agency announced Decision No. 27/QD-HDQL - NAFOSTED on the establishment of interdisciplinary/interdisciplinary scientific councils in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development for the term of 2022 - 2024, including 7 Councils: Interdisciplinary Scientific Council of Psychology, Education; Scientific Council of Economics; Scientific Council of Jurisprudence; Interdisciplinary Science Council of Philosophy, Politics, Sociology; Interdisciplinary Scientific Council of Culture, Arts Studies, Mass mass Communication and Communication; Council of Interdisciplinary Science History, Archeology; Interdisciplinary Council of Literature and Linguistics.

Within the framework of the Conference, the Sectoral/Interdisciplinary Science Councils met to evaluate and select basic research projects in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2022.
