Dissemination of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property
The Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Intellectual Property (Law No. 07/2022/QH15) was approved by the National Assembly on June 16, 2022 and will take effect from January 01/ 2023.
Workshop with the participation of nearly 200 delegates
In order to promptly disseminate new provisions of the Law, especially those related to industrial property, contributing to improving the efficiency of Law enforcement, on August 16, 2022 in Hanoi, the National Office of Intellectual property of Vietnam (Ministry of Science and Technology) held a workshop on "Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law - issues to be noted".
The conference had the participation of nearly 200 delegates from ministries, sectors, state management agencies, central and local intellectual property rights enforcement agencies, research institutes, universities, associations, businesses, industrial property representation service organizations and etc.
At the conference, the speakers of the NOIP introduced an overview of the Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law, general issues on industrial property and focused on analyzing the new points of the Intellectual Property Law relating to each object of industrial property rights, including inventions, industrial designs, integrated circuit layout designs, trademarks, geographical indications, to the complaint procedures and settlement of complaints about industrial property and protection of intellectual property rights.
