Training course on basic knowledge of intellectual property for local science and technology and intellectual property managers in 2022
In order to improve the understanding of intellectual property for local officials, from August 15 to August 19, 2022, the National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (IP) organized a training course on basic IP knowledge for local science and technology and IP managers in 2022 with the participation of over 50 learners from 17 provinces and cities nationwide.

The training course took place in 5 days, including 4 days of classroom study at the NOIP and 1 day of fieldwork at Duong Lam Ancient Village, Son Tay. During class sessions, learners were taught 13 topics by experienced officials and lecturers of the NOIP with basic knowledge about IP rights in general and the establishment and protection of rights to industrial property objects in particular.

The participants fully and seriously participated in lively discussions about practical issues in IP management. During the field survey, the participants visited and introduced production and business activities at households trading in traditional products protected by collective trademarks (NHTT), certification trademarks (Certificate of Trademarks, etc.) NHCN) in the area of Duong Lam Ancient Village, Son Tay, such as collective trademark "Son Tay Chicken", industrial trademark "Duong Lam gai cake", industrial trademark "Tuong Duong Lam"… Most of the learners gave positive feedback on the content and quality of programs and wishes to continue to participate in intensive training programs in the near future.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the training course, Mr. Dinh Huu Phi - Director of NOIP highly appreciated the active participation of the trainees, expressing his desire through the basic knowledge gained from the course. In this event, trainees will be aware of the importance of IP, be able to apply it to their daily lives and perform well in their field of work in the locality.

He also emphasized that IP training and retraining for local officials is an annual activity and is always interested by the Department in order to improve the quality of IP human resources, contributing to promoting IP work in the locality.

At the end of the course, the trainee were awarded a Certificate of Completion of the training program.
