Applying 4.0 technology in agricultural and pharmaceutical development in Lai Chau province
On August 28, the Techfest Innovation Start-up Day workshop in Lai Chau with the topic of 4.0 technology application in agricultural and pharmaceutical development. Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee Ha Trong Hai said that the application of technology Industry 4.0 in agricultural development is an inevitable trend.

Overview of the workshop
The workshop was held in the form of direct and online combination to 8 bridge points in Lai Chau province.
On the side of Lai Chau province, there were representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and unions; People's Committees of districts and cities; Lai Chau Ginseng Association, Lai Chau Agricultural Products Association; representatives of enterprises, cooperatives in the field of agriculture, partners, investors, OCOP subjects and etc.
Chairing the Conference at the Provincial Bridge, there were Mr. Pham Hong Quat - Director of the Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprises; Mr. Pham Bao Duong - Deputy Director of Vietnam Academy of Agriculture; Mr. Ha Trong Hai - Vice Chairman of Lai Chau Provincial People's Committee.
Attending the workshop, there were representatives of leaders of the Institute of Medicinal Materials, Northwestern University, Departments of Science and Technology of some provinces in the country.
Lots of potential for agricultural and medicinal development
Lai Chau province currently has more than 638,000 hectares of agricultural land. In 2021, the province's agricultural sector growth rate will reach 4.23%; total grain production reached 225,000 tons; fresh bud tea 44,000 tons; fruit trees of all kinds 54,000 tons.
Lai Chau has issued Resolutions on sustainable forest development and concentrated commodity agriculture in the period of 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030. Therefore, Lai Chau pays great attention to the digital transformation of agriculture to can be applied to production, processing, preservation, packaging ... as well as by-product processing technology in agriculture, environmental treatment in production...
On this occasion, a number of businesses and cooperatives of Lai Chau signed a memorandum of agreement on cooperation in the consumption of agricultural products with a number of corporations, companies and investors attending the workshop.
The workshop is within the framework of "Vietnam Innovation and Startup Festival 2022 in Lai Chau" - Techfest Lai Chau 2022. The event was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology in collaboration with the People's Committee of Lai Chau province in two days ( August 28-29) with the expectation of promoting local innovation, raising awareness about innovative start-ups.
