In the morning of March 20, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology had a meeting and worked with the delegation of Fulbright University Vietnam.

Overview of the meeting

Welcome and work with the Fulbright University Vietnam Delegation, there were Mr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Vu Minh Hai – Director of Science and Technology Information Center; Mr. Pham Minh Quoc - Director of Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technology Incubator together with leaders of specialized departments and representatives of Faculty of Environment - Can Tho University. On the side of Fulbright University Vietnam, there were Mrs. Phan Hoang Lan - Director of the Center for Enterprises and Innovation; Mrs. Nguyen Do Thu Minh – Enterprise Innovation Manager; Mrs. Nguyen Vi Hoa – Innovation specialist; Mrs. Lam Diep Tran – Senior Project Financial Analyst, member of water solutions.

Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology

At the meeting, the units discussed about the start-up project "Challenge to solve the water problem in the Mekong Delta". The objectives of this project are: Raise awareness about the impacts of climate change; Encouraging innovation in the Vietnamese academic and business communities; Develop practical/scalable solutions to minimize negative impacts; Develop platforms, process templates and implementation frameworks for other innovation programs to address future social issues.

Delegation of Fulbright University Vietnam

The meeting aimed to learn about water issues in Can Tho; Visiting and learning about existing projects on water in Can Tho city. Thereby, contributing to tightening the cooperation relationship in the field of innovation between Fulbright University and Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung signed Decision No. 604/QD-TTg dated 02/4/2026 approving the adjustment and supplementation of the Strategy for the development of science, technology, and innovation to 2030 (the Strategy).
