Efficacy of early nutritional intervention on nasopharyngeal cancer patients with indications for radiation therapy at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital
In the morning of March 9, 2023, Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology organized a selection council to select organizations and individuals to carry out the city-level science and technology tasks with a project "Effectiveness of early nutritional interventions in patients with nasopharyngeal cancer patients with indications for radiation therapy at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital. Council's members

The objectives of the study are: Survey the nutritional status and some related factors of nasopharyngeal cancer patients at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital; Evaluating the effectiveness of early nutritional intervention and quality of life on nasopharyngeal cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital. The study subjects were nasopharyngeal cancer patients treatment at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital. (i) Survey on nutritional status by questionnaire PG – SGA, BMI, arm circumference, muscle strength; Record the actual diet of patients with nasopharyngeal cancer undergoing radiation therapy; Record the clinical and subclinical characteristics affecting the nutritional status of the study subjects; Determine the rate of malnutrition of patients with nasopharyngeal cancer undergoing radiation therapy and the quality of life score of the study subjects; The relationship between nutritional status after intervention and quality of life of patients; (ii) Evaluation of the effectiveness of early nutrition intervention and quality of life after early nutrition intervention, including the following tasks: Developing a nutritional process; Implement nutritional intervention on nasopharyngeal cancer patients undergoing radiation therapy; Record the quality of life of research subjects; Synthesize, clean, coding, data entry, processing and analysis; The relationship between the nutritional status after the intervention and the results after the end of treatment, 1 month and 2 months after the follow-up assessment and evaluation; The relationship between nutritional status after intervention and quality of life of patients.
