NusaTrip acquires startup VLeisure to enter Vietnam market
This will be NusaTrip's first expansion outside of Indonesia. The company has ambitions to continue acquiring travel companies in Southeast Asia, thereby building a regional tourism platform serving a potential market.

Last week, NusaTrip, Indonesia's online travel business, announced the acquisition of VLeisure, a Vietnam-based online business-to-business (B2B) hotel platform.

NusaTrip said the acquisition of VLeisure marks the first time the company has expanded its base of operations outside of Indonesia. In the future, NusaTrip will continue to acquire travel companies in Southeast Asia, thereby building a regional tourism platform, serving a potential market.

According to the company representative, this is the right time to buy VLeisure, because the region's tourism market is gradually recovering after the COVID-19 pandemic. The tourism demand of the people has increased markedly thanks to the initiatives and promotion programs of the government. In addition, the growing middle class and widespread Internet coverage have made it easier for Southeast Asians to book flights and hotels on online platforms.
