Supporting the goal of clean energy and industrial development in Vietnam through standards
Within the framework of cooperation between the Diectorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality (GSO) and the Association of American Testing Laboratories (UL), the two sides have coordinated to organize an international conference "Supporting the goal of clean energy and developing Vietnam's industry through standards" in 02 days from April 18 to 19, 2023 in Hanoi.

Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy Director is in charge of the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality

The program, there were Dr. Ha Minh Hiep – Deputy Director in charge of the Directorate of Standards  Metrology and Quality; Dr. David Steel – Executive Director of the Association of American Testing Laboratories and representatives of related units.

Accordingly, the conference focused on analyzing the current context and opportunities for clean energy development in Vietnam and other countries, especially electric vehicles (EVs) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS).

At the program, experts from UL and the Directorate presented on the process of developing standards related to clean energy, discussed potential challenges hindering the progress of clean energy development in Vietnam and standards can play a role in finding reasonable solutions.

Success stories and best practices from other countries, especially Singapore, are also shared to inspire new approaches and initiatives.
