Improving university students' understanding of quality productivity
In the morning of April 25, the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Ministry of Science and Technology) coordinated with Thuy Loi University to organize a Seminar "Overview on productivity, quality and application of productivity at universities, college".

Professor. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet, Vice Rector of the University of Water Resources delivered the opening speech.

Within the framework of the National Program to support enterprises to improve productivity and quality of products and goods for the period of 2021-2030, on April 25, 2023, the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality (Ministry of Science and Technology) technology) in collaboration with the University of Water Resources to organize the Seminar "Overview on productivity, quality and application of productivity in universities and colleges". The main speaker of the program is Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy Director Directorate is in charge of the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality.

Participating in the program, on the side of the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality, there were Mr. Tran Quoc Dung - Director of the Center for Certification of Conformity (QUACERT); Mr. Pham Le Cuong – Deputy Chief of the Directorate Office; with representatives of a number of related units.

Speaking at the opening of the discussion, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet said that productivity and quality play an important role in the country's economic growth and improving people's quality of life. The improvement of productivity helps to fight waste and save resources in the context of limited resources in terms of capital, natural resources and labor. Improving productivity is also a solution to help businesses increase their competitiveness, helping Vietnam accelerate the process of international integration.

According to GS. Viet, for the general education environment, productivity plays an important role contributing to increasing the efficiency of management, teaching and learning. The University of Water Resources also determined that productivity is a solution that contributes to improving teaching efficiency at the school, a premise to improve the university's competitiveness and reputation with domestic and international schools. Therefore, the school very much wants the knowledge and information on quality productivity to be transmitted to the next generation of staffs, lecturers and students who are working and studying at the school.

I hope that through this talk, students will have an overview of quality productivity, concepts, benefits or solutions to improve quality and productivity. From there, it can be applied to the learning process to make this process effective and improve the quality of training," said Prof. Dr. Nguyen Trung Viet.
