Workshop on Copyright protection at higher education institutions/colleges- Current situation and solutions
On April 21, 2023, Can Tho University cooperated with the Department of Science and Technology to organize a Workshop on Copyright Protection at higher education institutions and colleges - current situation and solutions.

The workshop is within the framework of the scientific and technological task "Propaganda and dissemination of legal knowledge on intellectual property rights at higher education institutions and colleges" under the Intellectual Property Development Program of Can Tho city until 2030. This is also a meaningful activity to propagate and respond to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), towards World Book and Copyright Day (April 23) and celebrate World Intellectual Property Day (April 26).

Attending the workshop, there were experts in the field of intellectual property, such as Academician-Professor-Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Dien (University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City) and more than 80 delegates who are lecturers and students of higher education institutions and colleges in Can Tho.

Experts introduced the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Intellectual Property Law in 2022, regulations on management of intellectual property activities in higher education institutions and organizational models of intellectual property activities in current higher education institutions and colleges. At the discussion session of the Workshop, the delegates expressed their views on the current situation of copyright infringement, especially copyright at universities and colleges in Can Tho city and were consulted by experts share practical experiences on copyright protection for research, teaching and learning activities at universities.

The workshop helps lecturers and students of educational institutions, universities and colleges better understand the importance of accessing and using creative intellectual property and respecting copyright and related rights.
