Bac Son, the geographical area is very suitable for the ecological conditions required for the growth and development of the tree. The tree are distributed throughout the geographical area with a density ranging from 20 to 30 plants/ha.

It is known that Van Thuy is a mountainous commune of Chi Lang district, Lang Son province. This is a commune with a large area of hills and forests with many types of natural trees and planted forest trees that have the potential to be exploited as honey source trees to develop honey beekeeping. Among those forest trees, the wild flower tree grow naturally, scattered over an area of about 1,100 hectares. The tree bloom in the winter, exploited by people in Van Thuy commune to produce a main honey crop of the year.

The whole Van Thuy commune has over 100 beekeeping households with about 800 flocks, the output is from 1,000 to 2,000 liters/year. The wild flower honey is special in that the tree flowers from October to December, this is the dry season.
