Developing MICE tourism model in Can Tho city
In the morning of May 5, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology held a meeting to evaluate the mid-term S&T task at the city level "Developing the MICE tourism model in Can Tho city". The Council is presided by MSc. Tran Hoai Phuong, Deputy Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology. The stusdy is carried out by MSc. Nguyen Khanh Tung, Institute of Economics and Society of Can Tho City and Prof. Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh, Institute of Business Research - University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City.

The contents of the task include: Analysis and evaluation of MICE tourism model in Can Tho city, clarifying advantages and limitations; Building a pilot model of MICE tourism, implementing and evaluating the results of the pilot model; Proposing solutions to replicate the model, contributing to the sustainable development of MICE tourism in Can Tho city.

Through the implementation of the task up to now, the research team has completed content 1, the remaining contents 2 and 3.
Expected tasks to be implemented in the coming time: Continue to implement content 2 and content 3: Build a pilot model of MICE tourism, implement and evaluate the results of the pilot model; Proposing solutions to replicate the model, contributing to the sustainable development of MICE tourism in Can Tho city.
Research team
The S&T Task Evaluation Council has completed content 1, but the completion time is slower than the expected time. In addition, the Council also gave some suggestions for the research team to edit and complete the remaining content according to the explanatory outline.
