The giving ceremony of the great solidarity house
In the morning of June 1, 2023, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City cooperated with Thoi Xuan Commune People's Committee, Co Do District to organize the groundbreaking ceremony to build 05 great solidarity houses for poor and near-poor households in Thoi Truong 2 hamlet, Thoi Xuan commune, Co Do district. This is a project to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Can Tho city directly under the central government and celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of Co Do district in order to solve housing difficulties for poor households and ensure the implementation of social security policies in the district.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ngo Anh Tin, Member, Director of Can Tho city Department of Science and Technology, thanked the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city for supporting the selection of contractors to build 05 “great solidarity houses" worth 350,000,000 VND for poor people in Thoi Truong 2 hamlet, Thoi Xuan commune, Co Do district. This is a gift from officials and employees of science and technology in the signing ceremony, Minister of Science and Technology gave the poor of the city. With the support of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho city, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Co Do district and people will speed up the construction progress so that people can have houses soon. Hopefully, in the coming time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City will mobilize some more great solidarity houses for the poor and disadvantaged people here to have houses, ensure their lives and settle down.
