Orientation for digital transformation of Standards, Metrology, and Quality industry to promote the digital economy towards sustainability
In the morning of May 27, the Conference on Digital Transformation and Automation in Digital Economy development within the framework of the Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam - 2023 program was organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, with the coordination of the Vietnam Automation Association, the Institute of Innovation and Digital Transformation.

Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy Director in charge of the Directorate of Standards, Metrology and Quality Assurance presented the presentation: Some operational orientations for standards, metrology and quality in the development of the digital economy towards sustainability.

Vietnam is entering a transition period with innovations from the positive influence of the 4th Industrial Revolution, with a focus on digital technology, automation with the help of data analysis, artificial intelligence, and the internet of things; Thus, new forms of management, operation, socio-economic development as well as national governance have emerged.

With the development of digital technology in Industry 4.0, a new paradigm has been formed, which is Digital Transformation. Digital transformation is the process of using digital technology to optimize or change the processes, products and services of an organization or business to improve business performance, enhance competition, and enhance customer experiences through the use of new technologies.

At the conference, experts had discussions to exchange different aspects of digital transformation initiatives and achievements in smart production and automation in contributing to the development of the local and national Digital Economy.

Dr. Ha Minh Hiep - Deputy Director Direactorate in charge of Directorate of Standards, Metrology, and Quality - Ministry of Science and Technology said that the industry of Standards, Metrology and Quality is also not out of the trend of digital transformation. Specifically, the basis for implementing digital transformation in standards, metrology and quality, is shown in a number of documents.

At the workshop, experts also presented typical 4.0 technology solutions. These are 4.0 technology solutions that bring smart production processes, helping the system to operate optimally. At the same time, it allows businesses to flexibly and quickly adapt to the changing needs of the market. Solutions include: Smart management solution /Paperless; Smart factory solutions / Smart city; E-commerce/logistics solution/platform.
