Great potential for science and technology cooperation and innovation between Vietnam and Australia
The MoU between the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on science, technology and innovation cooperation not only promotes cooperation in this field between the two sides, but also contributes to facilitating socio-economic development between the two countries.

On June 4, within the framework of the official visit to Vietnam by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, a Memorandum of Understanding between the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the Australian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade on scientific and technological cooperation and innovation was signed.

Accordingly, the Memorandum of Understanding will facilitate the exchange and sharing of information on typical activities in science, technology and innovation; identify ideas and common interests to strengthen innovation partnerships including activities under the Vietnam-Australia Innovation Partnership Program (Aus4Innovation).

The strategy to strengthen economic cooperation between Australia and Vietnam has provided potential opportunities for cooperation between Australian and Vietnamese organizations in science, technology and innovation. In particular, knowledge and innovation is one of the main pillars of the bilateral Strategic Partnership between Australia and Vietnam.

In Vietnam, Vietnam's Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation Development to 2030 has been promulgated, which emphasizes that science, technology and innovation development is the top national policy and plays a key role in the breakthrough strategy in the new period, is the main driving force to promote growth and create breakthroughs in productivity, quality and efficiency.

The Aus4Innovation program was announced within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders Week.
