Connecting technology supply and demand between Vietnamese and Taiwanese organizations and businesses
On June 9, 2023, Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology held a "Connect technology supply and demand session between Vietnamese and Taiwanese organizations and businesses". This is the first connection session of 2023 held in 2 forms (live and online).

Connection session overview

The connecting session aims to promote the development of the S&T market and the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city, promoting activities of connection, purchase, sale, commercialization and transfer of scientific, technological and equipment products between organizations and enterprises of Taiwan and organizations and enterprises in Hai Phong city and neighboring provinces/cities.

Speaking at the connection session, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology Pham Thi Sen Quynh emphasized that, in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, digital transformation and international integration, the task of Hai Phong science and technology industry is very heavy. In order to complete the task, effectively contribute to the development of the City, expand cooperation, gather forces, enlist the support of resources of agencies, organizations and units, foreign enterprises to promote and develop S&T activities of the City is very important and necessary. The event connecting technology supply and demand between Taiwanese enterprises and Vietnamese enterprises is one of the key contents in international cooperation activities on science and technology of the Department of Science and Technology. This is also an opportunity for organizations and businesses of Vietnam and Taiwan to meet, grasp needs, exchange information, learn about technology equipment and order needs of partners; proceed to negotiate and sign technology purchase and sale contracts; thereby promoting the transfer and mastering of received technologies from abroad into Hai Phong.

At the connection session, the delegates heard an overview of products and technologies in the fields of aquaculture, food processing, healthcare, semiconductor industry, digital transformation, etc. from Taiwanese organizations and businesses. The connection session focused on survey activities and direct work of the organizers and Taiwanese businesses at the Seafood Research Institute, the Institute of Marine Resources and Environment and a number of businesses in Hai Phong and neighboring provinces/cities.
