Researching and compiling Can Tho Geography: Can Tho economy and society

In the morning of June 26, 2023, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology organized a Council to directly assign organizations and individuals to carry out the social science project "Research and compilation of Can Tho Geography: Can Tho economics and society". Dr. Ngo Anh Tin, Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology is chairman of the council. The study will be implemented by MSc. Duong Tan Hien. Can Tho City Party Committee's Office is presiding organization. Can Tho City Party Propaganda Department is the implementing organization.

The project is implemented for the purpose of research, systematization of knowledge and compilation of Can Tho economy and society, including: socio-economic overview; agricultural economy; construction – urban development; industrial economy, handicraft industry; Trade and services; banking and finance; science and technology; traffic; post office; tourism; political system; Social life; social organization; defense and security.

The content of the research project includes: Developing the project "Research and compilation of Can Tho Geography: Economy and Society of Can Tho"; Develop detailed outline of Book II; Researching and compiling a socio-economic overview of Can Tho; Research and compile Can Tho agricultural economy; Research and compilation of Construction - Urban Development of Can Tho; Research and compilation: Can Tho industrial economy, handicrafts; Researching and compiling Can Tho Trade and Services; Researching and compiling Can Tho Banking and Finance; Researching and compiling Can Tho Science and Technology; Researching and compiling Can Tho Traffic; Researching and compiling Can Tho Post Office; Research and compile Can Tho Tourism; Researching and compiling Can Tho political system; Researching and compiling Can Tho Social Life; Researching and compiling Can Tho Social Organization; Researching and compiling Can Tho National Defense and Security; Evaluation of project; Explanation of words and terms; Drafting the Economic and Social Book of Can Tho; Editing and correctting the draft Can Tho economy and society into the official version; Conclusion compilation research.

Research team

The implemented project will contribute to providing a scientific and practical basis for the planning of strategies, programs and plans for socio-economic development of Can Tho city; is a document serving education, research, search, conservation and promotion activities about the position and role of the dynamic center of Can Tho city in the Mekong Delta region.

The Council gave some suggestions for the research team to edit and complete the explanation.
