Opening of the training program on innovation activities for innovative start-up support staffs
The training program took place in 02 days from June 23-24, 2023 by the Science and Technology Information Center (CASTI) under Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology in collaboration with the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry - Can Tho branch (VCCI Can Tho) organized "Training program on innovation activities for innovation startup supporting staffs."

One of the difficulties in operating innovative start-up support activities of Can Tho city in particular as well as the Mekong Delta in general is that officials are assigned tasks but have not been professionally trained, knowledge about start-up, so the implementation is not synchronized and sometimes the set goal has not been achieved.
Recognizing the above difficulties, CASTI cooperated with VCCI Can Tho to organize a training program to improve the capacity of supporting innovation startups. Coming to the Program, you will receive practical advice and guidance when practicing exercises; confidently present and teach about entrepreneurship and innovation; confident, proactive in planning and implementing effective start-up promotion activities; connecting in the network of experts, deploying start-up activities, innovative ideas; clearly define the portrait, core values, position themselves, exploit more strengths of students participating in the program; orienting vision, goals, advantages, barriers and strategies and specific action plans for each student to apply local innovative start-up support activities.
Speaking at the opening of the Program, Mrs. Le Nguyen Trung Khanh - Deputy Director of Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center shared that in 2023, Can Tho Science and Technology Information Center will organize 5 training courses. This is the second course held this year for innovation startup support staffs with the desire to update the knowledge and foundational skills from the course to support the development of the local innovation startup ecosystem.
The training program , there is Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thuong Linh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Federation of Trade and Industry - Can Tho branch (VCCI Can Tho) with 20 years of experiences in supporting small and medium businesses in the Mekong Delta. She is the main lecturer of the Business Edge training program of IFC - Worldbank (2005), senior lecturer of the International Labor Organization (ILO) (2004), trained: Young leaders in the United States (2011); Global Trade in New Zealand (2015), Modern Management in Japan (2017), Innovation in Israel (2018) Female Leadership (Flinders University - Australia 2019 – 2020); Advanced Women Leadership Development – Foundation for Change –AVEG (Griffith University – Australia) 2022.
