Vinh Phuc: Developing intellectual property, improving the value of products and goods
By the end of 2022, Vinh Phuc had 5 patents for inventions and utility solutions, 138 industrial design patents and 1,731 trademark registration certificates.
Tam Dao yellow flower tea - provincial 4-star OCOP product, has been registered by Vinh Phuc Department of Science and Technology and granted a certificate of trademark.
Through supporting the protection and development of intellectual property, and controlling the origin and quality, IP activities have directly contributed to improving the value of key local products, helping farmers and business households convert from single production model to concentrated production, from raw products to products with packaging and labels, from production and development of free products into large-scale production and business, controlled for origin and quality. In addition, the protection of IP for specific local products also contributes to preserving the national cultural values, traditional knowledge, promoting and honoring the value of products produced according to natural processes.
The registration of trademark protection not only promotes the promotion of the brand, creates trust in relationships with customers, but also serves as a legal basis to protect the rights of the trademark owner against acts of illegal use. It can be affirmed that many key products of Vinh Phuc after being protected by IP have been widely known to consumers, the product reputation has been enhanced, contributing to bringing income to the people.
The focus on developing intellectual property in Vinh Phuc province has helped raise the awareness and interest of organizations, businesses about the establishment, management and development of specialty products of the province. This is also the basis for conducting management, commercial exploitation and market expansion for products, supporting farmers and producers to stabilize, increase income, and make practical contributions to local economic – social development.
