Hai Phong: Preliminary of work in the first 6 months of the year in science and technology
Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology has just held a conference to review the work in the first 6 months of the year and supplement tasks in the last 6 months of 2023.

In the first 6 months of 2023, Hai Phong has completed 1,304/1,325 S&T tasks; currently working on 21 missions, none of which are overdue. The tasks of science, technology and innovation were implemented synchronously and effectively, making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the city.

Many initial tasks have yielded results, such as developing a Plan for the period of 2023-2025, implementing a program to coordinate scientific, technological and innovation activities between the People's Committee of Hai Phong City and the Ministry of Science and Technology in the period of 2022- 2025, orientation to 2023. These results are achieved thanks to the solidarity, initiative and positivity of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology's collective in promoting the implementation of many measures to ensure the efficiency and quality of State management activities of science, technology and innovation.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong acknowledged the efforts and results of Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology achieved in the first 6 months of the year. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that in the last 6 months of the year, the Department's leaders and all officers, employees continue to promote the achieved results and strengths, focusing on completing important tasks. The center has set out, especially, to speed up the progress and at the same time ensure the good management of the research and application quality of the city-level science and technology research and development projects; complete support for 15 products and continue to increase the number of products supported to connect on the National Traceability Portal in 2023 and support businesses to apply digital technology in management; focus on implementing digital transformation tasks approved by the City People's Committee; continue to promote administrative reform, strengthen public service discipline and apply the set of job performance indicators (KPIs); pilot implementation of the Standard ISO 18091:2020; coordinate with relevant agencies, the Ministry of Science and Technology to develop a set of innovation indexes at the local level; research and pilot implementation of the Digital Economy Indicators in Hai Phong; improve the effectiveness of activities of connecting supply and demand, learning experiences, promoting domestic and foreign coperation.

On this occasion, Hai Phong Department of Science and Technology presented Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives and 7 individuals; commended 3 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in the performance of tasks in the first 6 months of 2023.
