Ho Chi Minh City: Supported nearly 2,000 startup projects in the next four years
Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued plan No.433/KH-UBND on implementing policies to support innovation projects and innovation startups in the period of 2024 - 2028.

This is the concretization of Resolution No. 20 of 2023 of the City People's Council regulating priority areas, criteria, conditions, content and level of support for innovation projects and innovation startups in the City, according to the provisions of Resolution No. 98/2023/QH15 of the National Assembly on piloting specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City.

The goal of the plan is to support more than 1,000 innovation projects and innovation startups at the pre-incubation stage; More than 700 projects in incubation stage and more than 200 projects in acceleration stage reaching out to venture investors.

To achieve this goal, the City will organize training courses for relevant units on policies and methods of registering to participate in policies to support innovation projects and innovation startups.

Organize training on policies, implementation methods, and orientation of innovation contents for state management agencies (assigned funds to implement support policies for innovation projects, innovation startup).

In addition, the organization supports the application and testing of innovative solutions, products, and innovation services, and innovation startups. In particular, supporting innovative solutions, products, and services, innovation startups are applied and evaluated for deployment in real environments, in the form of implementing science and technology tasks.

In addition, the city will connect innovation projects and innovation startups, such as coordinating to organize activities to connect customers and potential markets for projects, experts, and support organizations, innovation startups, international organizations, business promotion organizations and other partners for innovation projects and innovation startups.

Support projects to participate in exhibition activities, introduce innovative solutions, products, services, and innovation startups at the city's creative startup events. In addition, communicate about the implementation of policies to support innovation projects and creative startups.

The unit implemented the plan is Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology along with other departments, branches, Thu Duc City People's Committee, People's Committees of districts and related units.
