Exciting Science and Innovation Contest for middle school pupils in District 6
On April 24, 2024, the District 6 Economic Department collaborated with the Department of Education to organize a Science and Innovation Competition for secondary school pupils in District 6, with the theme "Application of technology and digital transformation in building a smart city."
This is an activity to promote the application of science and technology at the grassroots level, create a playground for science and technology, ignite creativity, promote skills in digital programming, and STEM education models for pupils. At this competition, representatives from the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology participate as judges.
This year's competition attracted the participation of 10 teams from 9 secondary schools (Nguyen Van Luong, Binh Tay, Hoang Le Kha, Pham Dinh Ho, Nguyen Duc Canh, Phu Dinh, Doan Ket, Van Than, Lam Son) and the Vocational Education Center - Continuing Education District 6. The teams presented their ideas and models about the dream smart city. Then, the judges scored based on specific criteria, such as how the problem was presented, the problem-solving ideas, explanations about the solution, delegation of tasks among team members, presentation style...
The result, Hoang Le Kha Secondary School won first prize. Second prize and Third prize belong to Lam Son Secondary School and Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education District 6.
The contest also received support and companionship from businesses, such as Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - Branch 6, DigiUni Vietnam Digital Technology Training Center, TJ365 Manufacturing-Trading-Service Limited Company.
