Research on manufacturing environmentally friendly lightweight concrete panels, using fly ash and incinerator slag from Can Tho City Solid Waste Treatment Plant
In order to evaluate the budget for implementing the science and technology project "Research on manufacturing environmentally friendly lightweight concrete panels, using fly ash and incinerator slag from Can Tho City Solid Waste Treatment Plant”, Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology had a meeting in the afternoon of May 4, 2024. The Council was presided by Dr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology. Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education is an agency in charge of implementation.

Overview of the meeting

The research was conducted to manufacture lightweight concrete panels, using fly ash and incinerator slag from Can Tho City's Solid Waste Treatment Plant as aggregates and to replace large amounts of portland cement; Evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of the product and its impact on the environment over time of use.

Members of the appraisal team

The implementation content of the project includes: Overall assessment of the research problem; Collect and analyze the composition of fly ash from the treatment plant; Applying statistical approximation methods in optimizing conditions for manufacturing lightweight load-bearing concrete using fly ash and hollow microspheres to replace cement and aggregates; Evaluation of fly ash content that can replace cement in concrete; Research on manufacturing lightweight aggregate from fly ash and slag to replace sand aggregate for lightweight concrete; Research on manufacturing lightweight aggregate from fly ash and slag to replace sand aggregate for lightweight concrete; Research on manufacturing lightweight concrete using lightweight aggregate from ND 5 as aggregate to replace natural sand; Research on some properties of lightweight load-bearing concrete using artificial aggregates to replace natural aggregates; Build wall sections and evaluate the physical and mechanical properties and environmental impacts of concrete over time of use; Evaluate economic efficiency.

Research team

The appraisal team commented on the content and budget for implementing the project according to State regulations. However, the research team needs to correct some contents according to comments from members of the appraisal team.
