The Science and Technology Department honored the authors who won the Sciaence and Technology Press Award in 2023
The science and technology press award horned, and recognized journalists with a scientific spirit who have made every effort to explore, discover, and reflect the results of science and technology activities in the country's development.

Journalism works reflect all aspects of science and technology activities

In the morning of May 16, 2024, the Ministry of Science and Technology held the Science and Technology Press Award Ceremony 2023 (Award). This is the annual award of the Ministry of Science and Technology for authors and groups of authors who have excellent works about science and technology during the year.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang, Head of the Award Organization Board, congratulated the authors and groups of authors who won the Award, and emphasized the importance of the science and technology industry and the press and Science and technology media force in national development.

The Award Ceremony was held on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of Science and Technology and to celebrate Vietnam Science and Technology Day on May 18. This is also an opportunity for the Ministry of Science and Technology to express gratitude and honor journalists who always accompany and follow the development process and steps of the Science and Technology industry, make their best efforts, explore, discover and reflect on the fields of activities of the S&T industry.

The Deputy Minister affirmed that through journalistic works, society can see the panorama of science and technology activities with strong movements, drastic directions of the Party, State and Government, and clearly see the achievements of the country's science and technology. Clear evidence of the movement is shown in the development achievements of outstanding industries and fields, such as agriculture, industry, construction, transportation, health care, national security and defense, and etc. in recent times with contributions from S&T.

In 2023, thousands of news, articles, reports, discussions... related to the fields of science, technology and innovation have been published in central and local mass media. "Journalists have shown society and us many perspectives on science, technology and innovation activities. Each work is a piece in the panorama of science, technology and innovation activities, spreading information and science and technology love, passion for creativity" - Deputy Minister Nguyen Hoang Giang emphasized.

The First Prize was awarded to the works/groups of works: Scientific and technological development: Specific mechanism and capital "key", Vietnam Economic Journal; Multimedia news package "Vietnam Artificial Intelligence", Nhan Dan Electronic Newspaper; Aspiration to develop the field of science and technology, VTV1 - Vietnam Television; Waste for billions, Radio - Television Station and Binh Phuoc Newspaper.

Second prize belongs to the works/groups of works: Golden opportunity for Vietnam's semiconductor industry, People's Army Newspaper; Bumpy innovation start-ups, Saigon Liberation Newspaper; Science and technology - The fulcrum for agriculture to firmly play its "supporting" role, Communist Party of Vietnam Electronic Newspaper; Revival, Lang Son Radio and Television Station; Strategy for developing science, technology and innovation: Strongly promoting the intelligence and creativity of Vietnamese people, VOV1 News Department - Voice of Vietnam; A.I. is fear of being replaced?, Ho Chi Minh City Television.

The third prize belongs to the works/group of works: "Leading the country's development on the 'railway' of science, technology and innovation," People's Representative Newspaper; "Digital transformation linked to innovation: On the runway for takeoff," Dong Nai Newspaper; "Digital transformation in education - the foundation for Ho Chi Minh City's orientation towards integrated education," Ho Chi Minh City People's Voice Radio; "Chemical demilitarization - Special mission in peacetime," Vietnam National Defense Television Channel.
