Celebrating Vietnam's Science and Technology Day (May 18) and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology, from May 14-18, 2024, the Ministry of Science and Technology will organize a series of activities.

Celebrating Vietnam's Science and Technology Day (May 18) and the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology, from May 14-18, 2024, the Ministry of Science and Technology will organize a series of activities.

2024 is the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology since the State Science Committee (predecessor of the Ministry of Science and Technology) was established under Decree No. 016-SL dated March 4, 1959 of the President of Vietnam Democratic Republic.

It can be seen that, in the past 65 years, achievements in science, technology and innovation have historical marks in many key industries and fields of the country, becoming the foundation and driving force for sustainable development of the country.

Vietnam Science and Technology Day was unanimously approved by the National Assembly and recorded in the 2013 Law on Science and Technology. This is an opportunity to honor the labor, creativity, and dedication of the team of S&T intellectuals, while raising the spirit, responsibility of the scientific and technological intellectual team in the cause of socio-economic development, arousing the creative passion of the Vietnamese science and technology team, especially the young generation. At the same time, let organizations and individuals engaged in science and technology activities demonstrate and introduce scientific and technological research and innovation achievements to the public, propagate and disseminate new guidelines and policies on science and technology, and widely introduce achievements in the country and abroad.

Within the framework of the event, the Ministry of Science and Technology will organize a series of activities:

1. Exhibition: 65 years of innovation path; books on science, technology and innovation; 10 years of Ta Quang Buu Award; Science, technology and innovation achievements stores.

2. Celebration of Vietnam Science and Technology Day; Celebrating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

3. Ta Quang Buu Award Ceremony 2024.

4. Science and Technology Journalism Award Ceremony 2023.
