Making Nam Dinh an important development center in the South of the Red River Delta
After 60 years of construction and development, the Science and Technology industry (S&T) in Nam Dinh province has reaped many great achievements, making an important contribution to socio-economic development of locality.

Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyễn Hoang Giang spoke at the Conference.

On May 8, 2024, Nam Dinh Department of Science and Technology celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the Science and Technology industry (1964-2024), celebrated Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18) and received the Government's Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister.

Attending the Celebration, there were comrade Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Comrade Mai Thanh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Tran Le Doai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches of the province; leaders of districts and cities; cadres, civil servants, public employees, and S&T workers through the ages.

After 60 years of construction and development, Nam Dinh's science and technology industry has made fundamental and comprehensive innovations in the management and implementation of science and technology tasks, thereby arousing and encouraging creative potential, building a favorable environment for scientific research and technology development activities. Research and application of science and technology has a focus on each field and industry, close to the practical requirements of production and social life, and linked to market needs; Focus on the practical application value of science and technology products.

Speaking at the Celebration, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Hoang Giang acknowledged the achievements and great contributions of generations of officials, civil servants, public employees and workers in the science and technology sector in Nam Dinh province over the past 60 years. At the same time, he emphasized that the Party and State always determine that science and technology is the top national policy, and that the development of science, technology and innovation is a strategic breakthrough and an important driving force for socio-economic development.

At the ceremony, authorized by the Prime Minister, comrades Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Minister of Science and Technology; Comrade Tran Le Doai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded the collective of the Department of Science and Technology the Excellent Emulation Flag, Certificate of Merit from the Government and the Prime Minister for their outstanding achievements in work, contributing to the cause of building Socialism and protecting the Fatherland.
