In order to select organizations and individuals to implement the IP project "Exploiting and developing intellectual property to build brands for community-branded products in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city", Can Tho City Department of Science and City Technology had a council meeting in the morning of May 8, 2024. The Council is presided by Dr. Ngo Anh Tin - Director of Can Tho City Department of Science and Technology. The study will be carried out by BA.Nguyen Quang Tung. Vietnam Brand Development Consulting Center is an agency in charge of implementation.
Overview of the meeting
The general goal of the project is to improve the capacity to manage, exploit and develop intellectual property for community branded products in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city; Promote support for the development of the intellectual property system at all stages of creation, establishment, exploitation, protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, creating an environment that encourages innovation and meets requirements domestically, making intellectual property to become an important tool to improve the competitiveness of local products and goods, promoting economic, cultural and social development.

The content of the project includes: Surveying and referencing experience models to evaluate the current state of production and business and the protection, management, exploitation and development of intellectual property for products bearing community trademarks in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city; Building a model for management, exploitation and development of intellectual property to build brands for collective brands in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city and a system of documents, regulations and management and exploitation tools. Exploiting and controlling quality, traceability, and growing area codes for community-branded products in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city; Building a brand development strategy and brand identity system for community branded products in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city; Pilot application to units in Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city.
